Christmas Cookies and Snow..what more could you want?

It snowed for 3 days straight practically. It was coming down so fast the plows couldn't keep up with it. At a point it was accumulating 2 inches per hour. That's a lot of snow! We had fun in it though. Isaac played outside in it for about an hour. Addi and I got so cold we had to come in maybe 20 minutes into our snow adventure. Our noses were red and our cheeks were cold!

That same day we made Christmas cookies. Addison went down for a nap so Isaac and I had one on one time. We made sugar cookies. We used cookie cutters to make the shapes. We had ginger bread man, candy cane, a bell, and a snow man. Isaac was a big helper with mixing the frosting we made. We had a great time together. He loves to help cook and is always ready to help!

My little Addison turned a year on Monday! How does a year go by so fast? I am amazed at her growth and personality. She is a joy to be around and is always smiling.

We had her friend Charlie over and her cousin Lucas over. They all had a good time playing. Isaac and Alexa were up stairs then down stairs then up again. We opened presents first and Addison really didn't know what to do at first so big brother was very eager to lend a helping hand.Photobucket. She got lots of great things...books,a princess hat, and a pretty pink pony. Alexa mostly enjoyed walking around with them. Addison really didn't mind she was too busy playing and chatting. Now its time for cake! Adam my lovely and crafty husband made the cake. It was strawberry cake with cream cheese frosting. YUM! Oh I forgot to mention it was a 4 layer cake, even better!

I was expecting Addison to just dig into the cake and chow down. But instead she picked these little tiny crumbs out of the cake and ate it very dainty like. We were all laughing because every time she took a bite she had a silly face on. Finally I took a chunk off the end and put it in her hand. She got the idea really quick on what to do with the cake at this point.

I am so blessed by her, she makes me smile and brings joy to my heart when I see her. I love you Addison for always and forever!

O' Christmas Tree

PhotobucketFor the past couple of years we have been getting our Christmas tree in Greenfield from a family who has a tree farm on their property. It is a hike from where we live but its worth the experience for the kids. They have hot homemade cider and free cookies and popcorn. Anything free in this day in age is a deal for me! We invited our friends Anthony and Nichelle and their kids to come. The more the better. It was a cold day where your bones hurt in your hands and face, okay that maybe a little overdone but it was COLD!Photobucket The kids didn't seem to mind it only Addison kept giving me her hands like whats wrong with them. There is a tractor there that you can ride on up to the tree farm. It was muddy on the ground and wet from the rain we had days previous. There was lots and lots of trees to pick from. I kinda joked about how my mom always had to find the perfect tree and everyone else would be done and she'd be walking around still saying "well maybe this one". I found a tree at first but walked away from it, only to figure out later that I really liked that one. So I walked around and around trying to find that one tree. Its like trying to find a needle in a hay stack!Photobucket I felt like my mom. Here I was making fun of her but here I am doing what she did every year. The Wirth's found their tree pretty fast. They have a small area where they could fit the tree so they kept the tree small. Photobucket
The kids had fun especially Alexa and Isaac. It was nice for them to run around the field and play hide and seek.PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

We all had a great day and a great memory forever...
